To prepare the experiment, you’ll need three small paper towel squares. To make a small square, fold a paper towel in half twice, once lengthwise and once crosswise. Wet the paper towels using the spray bottle. Insert each stem piece and the leaf in a dampened paper towel and slide them into separate plastic bags. Seal the bags, leaving some air inside. Observe what the parts look like now, and note your observations.
