How are red blood cells and neurons different

Red blood cells carry a specific type of protein, called hemoglobin, which is able to bind oxygen and release it in other tissues. A nerve cell doesn't have this protein because it doesn't need to bind oxygen. Instead, the nerve cell uses other proteins that help it transmit signals to other cells.

blood cells have a short life span of about 2-3 months where as neurons have a longer life span almost same as the human life. Unlike stem cells, normal cells (blood cells) are found everywhere and the shape is also different. Although every stem cell has a nucleus normal cells like red blood cells do not contain a nucleus.
