Within vascular plants, specialized tissue called “phloem” conduct sugars and other nutrients. (Similar to how humans have veins and arteries to transport blood and nutrients.) Phloem consists of the cells that act as the conductors of these nutrients, as well as “companion cells,” which provide energy to the conductor cells.

What organelles might you see more of in these plant “companion” cells? Why do you think that is?
