Remove the pushpin, and place the cups and straws on a table so you can find the circumference of the anemometer. Lay the string on top of the cups to make a circle that passes through the centers of the cups, as show in the image. Use the marker to mark the point where the ends meet or cut the string at the meeting point. Straighten out the string, and use a tape measure to measure the length of the string in inches. Write down the length.
