15 15 Curitall Streptobacteria null hypothesis Scient Method - An example In early 2000, a disease appeared in the northeastern United States that had never been seen before. The disease produced a fever and nasal congestion causing the dip of the nose to turn red. The bacteria that caused the disease was isolated and found to be a certain type of streptobacteria. A certain antibiotic called Curitall has been effective against other similar streptobacteria, and so an experiment was set up to test * Curtall would be effective against this certain type of bacteria. On this discussion thread post what the null hypothesis is, and explain what would happen to people infected with this Streptobacteria if they dont take any antibiotic. For maximum points, compare expected rates of healing between experimental and control group subjects if Curitall does not work. Respond to instructors comments and questions as necessary.

Astudy by solloch and et. al., in 2017, gives the map above which shows the frequency of alleles with a ccr5-delta32 mutations over 87 different countries. this mutation deletes the presence of a co-receptor (ccr5) on the outside of human t-cells (lymphocytes). some viruses, such as the one responsible for the black death and human immunodeficiency virus (hiv), require this receptor for attachment to host cells during the infection process. the black death was an epidemic that passed over northern europe during the 14th century killing nearly 60% of europeans. according to this information, which explanation best explains why northern europeans show a greater immunity for hiv than some other parts of the world?
