Two different genes(A and B) code for plant enzymes that are both able to function in the same step of a pathway(assume the A and B genes contribute the same level of enzyme activity). When this step cannot be completed, the phenotype is a white flower. When the pathway is functioning as normal, the phenotype is a purple flower. Amorphic allelesare known for both of these genes A1 and B2. The A1A1 inbred line is purple, as is the B2B2 inbred line. Wildtype alleles are A+ and B+. From the perspective of enzyme activity for this step in the pathway, how much enzyme activity will there be in the hybrid A+A1 compared to WT (A+A+B+B+), that results from a cross of WT and the A1A1 inbred line? Briefly explain your rationale.
