(ii) Unknown 2 in diethyl ether: absorption maxima at 450 and 480 nm. (iii) Unknown 3 in diethyl ether: absorption maxima at 430, 455, and 650 nm.

the answer would be 2, if crossing over doesn’t occur 2 out of 4 of the daughter cells will have that allele.
