When caring for an athlete with hypothermia, which action would be appropriate?

The primary method of caring for people with hypothermia is to keep the body warm or to warm the body back to normal temperature. Hypothermia treatment that we can do such as check the body temperature, remove from the cold, cover with a warm blanket, give warm sweet drink.

In severe hypothermia cases, when the body temperature below 31, immediate medical treatment should be done as it can be a life-threatening condition, so it better calls the emergency/ambulance to transport the patient to the hospital.

Hypothermia is a condition when your body loses heat faster than it produces it, causing low body temperature. Usually, hypothermia happens when the body temperature below 35. Hypothermia in an athlete can happen because of an injury or accident, exhaustion, and dehydration. It is a medical emergency, as it can lead to heart and respiratory system failure, and the worse is death.

The symptom of hypothermia including shivering, weak pulse, confusion or memory loss, very low energy, lack of coordination and slow breathing.
