The ph levels in the body can to activate enzymes and cause enzymes to denature wgen the ph level gets too high e.g. pepsin has the optimum ph of 2 (especially since enzymes are very sensitive to ph levels) and tempreture as temperature is used to activate enzymes and yet too high of a temperature, denatures them.
