DNA is a double-stranded structure found in the nucleus. Conversely, RNA is a single-stranded molecule, which consists of four nitrogenous bases, ribose sugar, and a phosphate group.

The RNA differs in one of the pyrimidines, such that instead of thymine it has uracil.

RNA or ribose nucleic acid is similar to DNA in many terms, although it differs in some of the compositions, such as:

RNA is a single-stranded molecule, which consists of a pentose sugar ribose. DNA consists of deoxyribose pentose sugar. The four nitrogenous bases in the RNA are uracil, adenine, cytosine, and guanine. The DNA has thymine instead of uracil in the nitrogenous bases.RNA is present in the nucleolus, which moves to the specialized region of the cytoplasm based on the type of RNA. The DNA is present in the nucleus and does not dislocate inside the cell.
