One organ system failure can affect the body tremendously, even if it’s just one. If it’s a major organ system, it may even cause death. This is so because your entire body is working together. If just one thing fails, it can cause other things to. However some parts (a kidney for example) you can live without.

It’s kind of like dominoes, if you knock 1 down, it may cause the rest to fall down with it.
