Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose was a biologist, botanist, and physicist. He is known for his tremendous work in the invention of the Crescograph that led to the fact that plants also respond according to the stimuli or condition. The Crescograph measures the response of a plant cell to a particular stimulus.

He made work in radio and microwave optics and huge contribution to plant science. He proved that plants are aware of their surroundings. He is known as India's Marconi.
