not sure if this helps but this year we did an experiment where we put a plant outside, a plant in a dark room (closet or something like that), and we put a plant under a lamp to see how sunlight effects plant growth. you could even add water to the mix like watering one plant that is outside, one that is inside a dark room, and one under a lamp.

when you breathe in, or inhale, your diaphragm contracts (tightens) and moves downward. this increases the space in your chest cavity, into which your lungs expand. the intercostal muscles between your ribs also enlarge the chest cavity. they contract to pull your rib cage both upward and outward when you inhale.
