For this assignment, you will develop a model to describe the cycling of matter and the flow of energy among living and nonliving parts of an ecosystem. This project includes both an individual and a group
part. On your own, you will research an organism you choose from the Florida Everglades. You will post
your information about your organism on our website. Then, either in the group lesson or on your own,
you will combine your organism with the organisms researched by other students to create a food web.
Then, you will write two short paragraphs explaining how energy and matter move through the food
web.
