The proximal tibiofibular joint is a joint that is formed by the articulation of the tibia and fibula bones, whereas the proximal radioulner joint is the joint that is formed by the articulation of the radius and ulna bone.

The proximal tibiofIbular joint allows very little movement to the bones whereas proximal radioulner joint allows supination and pronation of the forearm bones.

The similarity is that these joints are present in between the long bones.

These joints are connected with that of the bones via fibrous interosseous membrane.
