More importantly, tell your daughter about what relationships are really like, that they're not all fairytales and Prince Charming, tell her how to be a good giver and a good taker as well, obviously make it easy for a 13 year old to understand but warn her about all the bad boys that she will mostly fall far and tell her she deserves the good ones only who treat her right and tell her every single boy is going to feel like he is the one, but it might not happen so she just needs to realise that it's not the end of the world and there's so much more to do than have boyfriends. I know this seems too much for a kid but I feel it's better to incorporate such important things in their minds at a young age before they go ahead and break their hearts big time

And if possible when she's say 15 or 16 talk about physical contact as well, and definitely educate her about female anatomy, pregnancy how and when is a girl most likely to get get pregnant (fertile window), contraception etc. Because in no time she'll be 16 and, well you know what's coming next . If you're a dad and for some reason mom isn't around and you feel uncomfortable then get a sister or friend of yours to talk about these things, to her or anyone.
