Haiti is mainly know for their minerals! the main minerals extracted are: cooper, silver, and GOLD. Haiti has many many gold farms, markets, etc. HOWEVER this is a very poor area, as people here live off of only about 2 dollars per day. They could take this wealth and put it towards the people, roads, and construction, as they had an earthquake that killed many many people, and destroyed much. If you mean what they do with gold, they take the gold from farms, and mine it underground. They then sell it for money as this is a poor area as said before!
