Students plan to conduct an experiment to measure the effect of light on photosynthesis in aquatic plants. The materials for this experiment are:30 g sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) Three 250 mL beakers filled with water Small aquatic plants, such as elodea Three large funnels with narrow tip Three large test tubes 100-watt lamp Procedure:1. Dissolve 10 ml of sodium bicarbonate into each beaker.2. With the help of an adult, cut the stem of each plant with a sharp razor blade 3. Place 5 plants under each funnel, then attach the test tubes to the top of each funnel. 4. Label the beaker setups as A, B, and C.- A is placed 10 cm. from the light source-B is placed 20 cm fram the light source-Is placed 30 cm from the light source 5. Set a timer for 10 minutes, then measure the displacement of the water of the top of the test tube This is the volume of oxygen produced 6. Conduct three trials of this experiment. Your experimental setup will look like this Part 3 Based on these results, predict what would happen if the test tube was placed 50 cm away from the light source. What would happen if the test tube was placed 1 cm away from the light source?
