The carrying capacity of an ecosystem refers to the number of species that the ecosystem can support without experiencing a breakdown. We must recall that resources required by organisms such as food, mates and nutrients are always in limited supply.

An ecosystem comprising of sea title species and has its carrying capacity, will give sea title acess to adequate food, water, shelter, mates e.t.c.
