The use of coal increases the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, there for increasing pollution. Coal is a limited resource we shouldn’t alway use it because it’s a fossil fuel it would take millions of year to recreate, to reduce the use of coal for electricity production you could start using things like hydro plants or windmills instead, they are Both an unlimited source and they are renewable meaning we won’t run out of it because the way the function is with water (hydro plants) and wind (windmills).
