Calvin cycle occurs in three main stages viz: Carbon fixation, Reduction and Regeneration.

In the carbon fixation, three (3) molecules of CO2 reacts with 3 molecules of CO2 acceptor called Ribulose-1,5-biphosphate molecule catalyzed by RUBISCO to form two molecules of 3-phosphoglycerate (PGA)

In reduction stage, PGA is reduced by NADPH and phosphorylated by ATP to form 6 molecules of Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P). As stated in the question, 1 molecule of G3P exits the Calvin cycle to be used to form glucose while the other 5 molecules proceeds in the cycle.
