Inside plant veins are two different types of tissues. Xylem carries water and minerals up from the roots of the plant and phloem carries the sugars (nutrients) away from the leaf to areas where the plant is growing or to storage areas in the plant.
How does the placement of veins help to carry out their function of transporting materials to and from the leaf?

A. The veins are in close proximity to the mesophyll layers which are performing photosynthesis since they contain the chloroplasts. This allows the water to be delivered from the phloem to the cells and the sugars to be carried away from these cells in the xylem with ease and little distance for the materials to be transported before entering these pathways.

B. The veins are in close proximity to the mesophyll layers which are performing photosynthesis since they contain the chloroplasts. This allows the water to be transported away in the phloem from the cells and the sugars to be delivered to these cells from the xylem with ease and little distance for the materials to be transported before entering these pathways.

C. The veins are in close proximity to the mesophyll layers which are performing photosynthesis since they contain the chloroplasts. This allows the water to be delivered from the xylem to the cells and the sugars to be carried away from these cells in the phloem with ease and little distance for the materials to be transported before entering these pathways.

What was dr. willem johan kolff’s first step in using the scientific process to invent the hemodialysis machine? he built the machine and tried it with various patients, collecting data about its effectiveness. when a patient’s kidneys failed, he wondered if it would be possible to perform kidney functions with an external machine. he researched and collected data about numerous patients who exhibited symptoms of kidney failure. he drew conclusions from studies of various symptoms of kidney failure, and drew a design for the ideal external blood-processing machine.

Pls me i need this ! each cell has genes activated depending on it's job and what kind of cell it is. it is the presence of that causes the repressor protein to fall off and unblock the gene on the lac operon. if a gene is turned on then it is being an additional circular chromosome found in some bacteria that is used in genetic engineering.
