An injury that severs the spinal cord in the neck or upper back causes a person's legs to be paralyzed. However, some paraplegics (individuals w/ paralyzed lower bodies) have functioning reflexes in the paralyzed limbs. How can this be possible

3: it is the same for all living things (plants and animals). it also includes very tiny organisms that our eyes cannot see. they are known as microorganisms, and include viruses, bacteria and fungi.

plants absorb water from the soil by osmosis. root hair cells are adapted for this by having a large surface area to speed up osmosis. the absorbed water is transported through the roots to the rest of the plant where it is used for different purposes: it transports dissolved minerals around the plant.
