Paulina is an 18 year old young woman who has a preoccupation with her nose. She is convinced it is too large for her face. She spends at least an hour every morning applying make up to create the illusion of a smaller nose and then she spends several more hours looking at her nose in the mirror, and is constantly asking her friends if her nose is too big. Her friends reassure her that her nose is a normal size and that she is pretty. She wishes she could save enough to have plastic surgery, as her parents refuse to pay for it. She is so convinced her nose is hideous that she doesn't enjoy meeting new people and is slowly slipping into a state of depression. It is likely that Paulina has this disorder:
