Summarizing what is in the drawing, when the leaf of a plant absorbs sunlight, that light is captured by the PSII (photosystem II), with which the electrons of a chlorophyll are very excited and with a very large energy charge. These electrons are captured by the primary electron acceptor and electrons are simultaneously captured from the water, so that the energy is stabilized. The electrons we eat are then transported through cytochrome b6f to the PSI (photosystem I), where the electrons develop an energy imbalance, just as it was done in the PSII, these electrons are again captured by the electron acceptor molecule, which takes them to the ferredoxin that transports them to the ATP syntax for the production of ATP.
