What is the difference between a triglyceride and a phospholipid

Triglycerides are composed of glycerol backbone which are attached to three fatty acids while phospholipids have two fatty acids and a phosphate group attached with glycerol.

The phosphate group in phospholipids is made up of oxygen and phosphorus which is a charged molecule that changes the structure and function of lipids.  

Phospholipids are mainly involved in making cell membrane of the cell while triglycerides are important and main form of storage fat in our body and this fat provide energy in the body when all other sources of energy gets depleted in our body.
