You see a television commercial for a new antibiotic. the ad includes someone claiming that the antibiotic cure them of the flu. what are two reasons why you might question this claim? ? explain.

The flu cannot be "Cured" but can oly be surpressed so it in inactive. only the body white blood cells can kill and fully remove the virus.
this is questiponed because it is true that it is limited to only one person, but this person may not of even had the flue to begin with. the the second question is which flue did the person have. swine flu is deadly and cannot be removed with antibodies or antibiotics. which is a pain because this flue kills the body.
the second things that is questioned is, is the antibiotic stable enough for everyone?
everyone has a different immune structured in different ways. some antibiotics will not help certain people because of the lack of lipids and enzymes in the hosts blood. this can be fatal because the body has a natural buffer in the blood that the antibiotic can easily damage and kill the host.

the two answers are a, the population of birds with large beaks will increase on the island, and c, the trait for large beaks will be passed on to future generations through natural selection. the reason for that is because if the birds that have beaks developed for eating small seeds lose all of their food, they will go hungry and eventually starve because they physically cannot eat the large seeds, therefore making the population of large beaked birds higher. also, if the trait of large beaks are dominant on the island over small beaks, then over time the large beaked birds will reproduce more and more, while the smaller beaked birds will reproduce less and less because they can't survive with the food provided. that leads to the trait of small beaks disappearing and the trait of large beaks taking over the island.
