How deforestation contributes to global warming

When a large number of trees are removed from an area, the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere remain higher than they would be if the trees were present. Since carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, the presence of more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere means that more heat is trapped in the atmosphere. This causes temperatures near Earth’s surface to increase.

Deforestation contributes to global warming because with trees being cut down there is less oxygen being made and no trees to take in the carbon dioxide that is being produced. So without trees to do the work, people build greenhouses which uses their own gas that makes the world warmer because it traps the heat from the atmosphere.
