Explain why the water cycle approximates a closed system

The water cycle doesn't have a starting point, but water from the oceans is heated from the energy radiated from the sun, and the water evaporates and rises until it reaches the atmosphere, where it cools and falls to the ground and it all starts over again, but there is no begging or end to the water cycle
