Apeptide bond is found in which type of biological molecule

A peptide bond is found between two amino acid biological molecules. Peptide bonds form long chains of amino acids, which are known as proteins by living organisms. Proteins are playing many important roles in our body such as structural support, recognizing molecules in the environment, helping to catalyze important reactions, etc.

Peptide bond form through the dehydration reaction. When two hydrogens and oxygen are removed from the molecule there two amino acids can bond together. Here 1 amino acid shows a loss of the hydroxyl group in the reaction and shows a carboxyl group to the reaction. Amino group present on the other amino acid loses hydrogen. Then the nitrogen is substituted in the place of the hydroxyl group, leads to the formation of peptide bonds.
