 1. Plants, unlike animals, cannot move.  Living things move primarily to replenish their energy and find security by hiding from predators. Plants are able to do both quite fine while stationary as they are capable of mobilizing their inherent resources, plus those available from soil with the help of sunlight to make food                                                                                                                                                                    2.
