The first construction began around 3000 BC in the form of a simple circular moat with a mound of soil on the inside that is high. In the second phase of development carried out about 700 years later, possibly around 2300 BC. Finally, the third construction was carried out around 200 BC, and the last construction was completed around 1500 before.

Archaeologists have concluded several strong theoretical grounds, that Stonehenge might be a place to worship the sun or an ancient calendar. According to previous research by Parker Pearson, Stonehenge is a place of pilgrimage at the winter solstice. Stonehenge may also be a place of burial or healing. The tombs or graves that surround the site and some of the skeletons found were from a distant region.

It is undeniable that the Stonehenge stone site is one of the world's most enduring mysteries, no one knows why ancient civilizations built such mysterious megaliths of enormous size. Even so, researchers have for years declared the site to be a solar calendar, a symbol of unity or a burial monument.
