1. describe the influence of the rock-and-roll phenomenon on american society, including teenagers, parents, public leaders, and organizations in the 1950s. compare and contrast rock’s original influence with its influence on american society today.

Rock and Roll was heavily influenced by the"rebellious" stage, which was insanely popular amongst teenagers, young adults, and some public figures e.g rock bands/singers. A popular example of a "group" from this time period would be "Greasers". The original influence was rebellion, and American society today simply sees rock as another category of music to listen to, we see it as an era that once was. Elvis Presley really sky rocketed the genres popularity. Think "sex, drugs, and rock and roll", huge phrase then and even sometimes now. 

Religion changed from primitive times through the renaissance period until today such that certain church conventions and rules were set about how the holy family could be portrayed. for instance: mary must always be in a blue mantle, jesus could only be in a white robe after the resurrection, jesus could no longer be seen pointing with his walking stick when performing a miracle, and so on.hope this
