Panning is very easy to do, and most people get great images on the first try?

If this is a true/false question, then it is false that panning is very easy to do, and most people don't really get great images on the first try.
Panning practically refers to following a moving object with your camera so as to get a shot which can catch the object's speed and movement. The background of that object should be blurred due to its speed, but the object itself should be in the focus and perfect.
