When you hear a note, do you only hear that note or can you hear other notes resonating aroung it?

You can hear other notes resonating around it. Like you know how you play a couple keys on a piano and still here lingering notes around the ones you're playing? That's what it means to have notes resonating around it.

Yes and no because if you know the vocabulary used you will understand it and go faster but you might not need it
