“Yeah?”
“I’d like to ask you a few questions”
I chuckle “Like what?”
“Well about your history, your culture, even your political system.”
“If this is to help a school project, I'm not interested. Besides it’s not like you’d get a better grade anyway.”
“It’s not for that! I’m just curious about it all.”
“You know what they say about curiosity.”
“Ye-es, well curiosity also helps us discover new ideas and possibilities.”
“Like new ways to kill us? Not interested.”
“Fine! If that’s how you’re going to be then I'll leave.”
“Go right ahead, I can’t stop you,” I say with a grin
I then hear her footsteps storm through the halls and the door slammed shut behind her.
“I don’t think that was the best decision.” I hear the guard’s voice say after she storms out.
“Why not?”
“She was probably your only chance of making a friend here, you might have wasted your chance.”
“Well you’re here,” I say half-heartedly
He laughs “I didn’t get this job to make friends.”
“Neither did I but I might have to if I don’t go insane.”
That basically sums up that night, but it doesn’t sum up my kind.
