The neoimpressionist painter Georges Seurat was a member of the pointillist school of painters. His paintings consist of an enormous number of closely spaced small dots each approximately 2 mm in diameter. When viewed from a sufficiently long distance, there is the illusion of color mixing as two closely spaced colored dots are no longer able to be distinguished and instead appear as one. Calculate how far one must stand from such a painting to achieve the desired blending of the colors. Clearly state all of your assumptions and show all work.
