How do art museums actually get the pieces of art/exhibition

Curators start doing research to find what artists and objects fit into that theme. They pick key pieces that are necessary for the exhibit and then write loan requests for each museum and to collectors. Private collectors are sometimes reluctant to loan pieces.

1 - since it's a library, i'd like putting a sculpture from ancient greece, probably from the hellenistic epoch.

2 - i'd also like the statue to be from a famous person from that time, a philosopher of possible.

3 - i'd want the statue to be of a man sitting down on a tree stump with a book on his hands (either writing or reading), to demonstrate the love for reading.

4 - i'd also like to have the statue with a darkish colour and high contrast, as well as a statue that resembles balance and a little movement on his head if he is reading or on his hand if he's writing.
