forest animals or creatures?

No the tranquil forest isn't ever loud with noise
not a graceful creature would dare ruin its deadly poise
But if you listen closely then you’ll feel the warm fur
And smell the light musk of a fox somewhere
and if you feel the velvet on the fox’s back
and see the indentation of its hunting tracks
While running on the trail it slyly reigns havoc
Then surely you will understand the skittishness of the rabbit
And you will know the sureness of its step
Is what keeps it hidden away from a stealthy death

And another prowls on, if the wind seems to howl extra loud
then you know, there another forest creature is standing proud
While it stalks in the forest, with an eye for both the rabbit and the fox
Their tender little pink noses and swift little black socks
The alpha and his posse swift and quiet, you suddenly know
Why, while the fox is stout, he wisely keeps his head low
For there are some he must not know,
not all canids are invited to this pack,
some, like him, would just be a small snack
Elite are the wolves as they all hunt together foraging as one

The clumsy bear roars with the storms and at the day
the cautious deer moves with the trees as they gently sway
The summer birds sing solemnly to the sun as it shines
The sun serenades the oaks, ash, and pines even leaving a
Bright word for the underbrush and the ferns. as the squirrels
Remind us of the great walnut trees towering above and the acorns
And buckeyes fall without being shoved. field mice and beavers
And groundhogs and more stumble around on the forest floor
As it is all intricately entwined, an owl snatches as it passes by
And when the quiet is broken by a tent and a fourwheeler no animal stays.
Because nature's strong silence has been displaced.
