Read the following scenario: Two well-established illustrators are collaborating on a children’s book. The book’s story will be told through images alone. In working on the story elements, Artist A wants the climax scene to go one way, while Artist B has a different vision. The two get into an argument, and work on the book stops. In which way would this problem most likely be resolved? The artists will sit down together to discuss their differences and find a way to compromise and complete the project.

The artists’ attorneys will settle the dispute in court.

An agent from the publishing company would decide whose idea is best and instruct the artists to continue using that idea.

The publishing company will bring in a new artist to complete the book, giving both of the artists credit for the work.
