1) Read the attached document about the Element of Art LINE 2) Supplies needed: white sheet of paper, ruler, graphite pencil and coloring pencils
3) Directions:
Your paper should be horizontal (landscape)
With your graphite pencil (a regular number 2 pencil) you will draw 10 vertical lines, 10 horizontal lines, 10 diagonal lines, 10 zigzag lines, and 10 curved lines (Line MAY overlap each other)
Choose TWO (2) coloring pencils...with the first color you will draw 10 vertical lines, 10 horizontal lines, 10 diagonal lines, 10 zigzag lines, and 10 curved lines (Lines MAY overlap each other). With the second color you will draw 10 vertical lines, 10 horizontal lines, 10 diagonal lines, 10 zigzag lines, and 10 curved lines (Lines MAY overlap each other)
4) Your lines WILL overlap each other, take the lines all the way off the paper to fill the picture plane, use a ruler to control your lines. *Attached are a few visual examples of lines, YOUR drawing will be using all 5 Kinds of Lines and will be a mixed-media (using more than one material) of graphite pencil and coloring pencil.
