Copy down the rhythm, and finish it by adding notes and rests to complete the last two measures. Be sure to continue with the accurate number of beats per measure, and use at least one rest and a variety of notes in each measure.

There are different types of notes, and they each have different amounts of beats.

The first one with an empty head, a half note, is worth 2 beats.

The second one with a filled head, a quarter note, it worth 1 beat.

The third note is actually two notes together. They are two eighth notes, each worth 1/2 a beat. Together, they are 1 beat.

2 + 1 + 1/2 + 1/2 = 4

In the second bar, there are four quarter notes. Each quarter note is 1 beat.

Check the number of beats in this bar.
