John Singleton Copley was an American painter. This is an oil painting. Rescuing the boy Watson, when attacked by shark in Cuba. Watson and Copley became friends in London after the arrival of the American artists. 1749 event was created as painting which was instructed by Watson. Copley created the painting in three kinds of versions. It was the first time to involve the large numbered series of painting for Copley. Watson was in the water with a shark. Most of the men in boat trying to keep him safe, and harpoon is used to attack the shark. The painting was unique and it differentiated the colors in the paintings. The shark and the humans are shown accurate in the water by using the different colors. The paintings has white, black and grey it means the "positive and negative" things in the pictures.
