Haiti , Toussaint l'Overture used back nationalism to unite the majority of the population , this made him extremely powerful and the white minority suffered. He also let the boys blacks to hold high government petitions despite being less qualified.

China, Chang Kai Skek too led the kuomintang which was a nationalism movement. the movement promoted. the han people and yelled them to unite to defeat the Communists

The  knowledge gap  as been recast more recently as a “digital divide”  gap. with the internet and social media many things can be done faster and better. so much faster and better that those that do not have access to them are literally left out of the game.
