Janine babysits for $14.50 per hour. She also works as a dishwasher at her family's
restaurant for $9.50 per hour. Her family needs her to be at the restaurant at least
7 hours per week, but she can't work there more than 10 hours per week. She also does
not want to work more than a total of 15 hours each week. She wants to make at least
$140 per week.
Write a system of inequalities that represents the constraints on Janine's part-time
jobs. Explain what your inequalities represent in the context of the problem.
Janine wants to earn as much money as possible next week. What combination of
hours should she spend at each job to do this? Justify your reasoning.
