Unit 5: TGA 5.04 Take a Breath – Preparing for Tests - 20 points Overview:
Over the next few days, you will be developing a plan to prepare for an upcoming test. You will use the information you’ve learned about learning preferences, learning environments, effective work habits, memorization strategies, and coping with test anxiety.

Instructions:
Complete Parts 1-3 below. Use complete sentences when answering questions.

Part 1: Preparing for a Test and Study Habits

Choose a unit test (not from RYAP) to study for and answer the questions below.
1.What is the name of the course? What is the name of the test you plan to study for? What is the test due date? (Check the course Plan for this information)

2.Estimate how many hours you will need to review for the test and create a study schedule. Your schedule should list the specific days, length of study time, and methods you will use to study each day. List the study plan below:

Part 2: Memorization Strategies & Types of Tests (Unit 5, Lesson 1-2)

1. What memorization strategy, rehearsal, elaboration, or both, works best for you? Explain why it works best for you and give a detailed response with specific examples for how you will use the it to study for your upcoming unit test.

2. Give specific examples for how you could use each of the following strategies to study and learn new material for a test. In your example, you should show that you understand what each strategy is.

Part 3: Coping Skills (Unit 5, Lesson 3)

2. What coping strategies work best to deal with the following anxieties? Write at least 1 strategy for coping with each anxiety below. A detailed description of each can be found in lesson 5.03 Click where it says Anxiety Symptoms and then read each type.
